lx 470 2006 VS 2007
Hi Everyone,
I am new here and i have been loving the LX 470 for the longest. I am in the market to buy one and was wondering if there is any difference between the LX470 2006 and the LX470 2007 models. Also, what do i need to pay attention to? I actually believe these SUV's have the best durability ever and was almost buying one in NJ for about $20K with 104k miles, the deal was sealed, i told the dealer to get everything ready, got the cheque from the bank etc, bought my ticket from Chicago (i way to go pick it up) etc and the dealer sent me a text the night before that the transmission started slipping on the way back from detailing, Not sure if he got another offer or that was what happened exactly but it got me nervous somehow that the LX with 104k miles will have trans issues. Finally does anyone know of a good one available for sale? 2006 or 2007? Please advice. Thank you all, i appreciate all the replies.

Sign up at www.ihmud.com you will learn more about the LX470 and 100 series. Never heard of a trans problem in a 5 speed LX. Also look for rust free trucks. Rust is about all that can kill a 100 series. Look at the carmax and make sure it lived in states where they don't use salt. Best years are 2003-2005, 5 speed trans, no emissions added with air pump, no VVT that makes the engine interference versus the non VVT engines in 2003-2005 which are not. Mud also has a for sale section

http://www.sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbieUZJ100.htm will get you to a noob guide for 100 series. Signing up at the owners section of lexus.com will let you enter a vin and see any dealer-supplied services from the day the truck was first delivered. No differences between the '06 and '07 as Toyota was busy gearing up for the 200 series.
