Default Replacement Tires LX 470 '05

I have a 05 LX470 that presently has 275/60R18 tires . I would like to replace them with a more aggressive tread pattern, however, can't find a tire I like in the same size. Can I go to a bigger/ wider or taller tire? Like a 285/60R18 or a 275/65R18. or do I have to stay with the original size? Any advice? Thx for the recommendation.

search. plenty of threads on bigger sizes that will fit. Your mentioned alternatives are pretty tame and shouldn't be a problem. Before I went that route though I'd check out any number of the websites that will calculate your speedometer error when you make the change. That bugs some folks a lot

Check the FAQ'q in the 100 series forum of ih8mud.com... http://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/100-...-trucks.30754/

Summary...you can fit up to 305-75's with a 16" wheel. I went about 1.5" higher with 285-75 16's...Toyo AT II's with zero issues after ~50K with rotations every 7500K. Tire store guy estimates another 10-15K easy.

No idea as to max size with 18" wheels...as was posted, simply check tire rack or similar for inflated diameter numbers.
