Also, my model (98) has no side air bags, so no need to disconnect the battery. Didn't do that either.

Finished:

The lighting makes the headrest look darker in the pics. They are not darker.

I'm happy with it. I would certainly purchase from them again.

I have noticed that they leather tends to pull in dirt easier. I think that the optimal thing to do would have been to soak the seats down with Scotchguard before putting them in. I am going to put some leather cleaner on them, then hit them with Scotchguard. They sure look better than what I had.

Wow, job well done! And a lot of work. And the detail with pics and commentary make me reconsider shipping it out. Thank you.

Wow, nice presentation. The pictures and details are excellent and help make things clear. My dilemma--the driver's seat needs work on the seat and back (leather weared out--funny thing, my LX470 (07) has 156K miles and the driver's seat is deteriorating. My 99 Land Cruiser needs front seats...but the leather on those seats lasted to about 250K before splitting and needing replacement). The work involve, the excellent condition of the passenger seat...leaves me thinking to just have the split portions of the driver's seat redone...thoughts? And thank you.

Using proper hog ring pliers make that part of the job go pretty easy.

SuperDad, it's a bit late, but my money is on the Bisque color being what you are calling Tan. You can contact the LSeat people and they will send you a color swatch board with one sample of each leather color. I'm a bit color blind, so I had my wife make the final choice for me. It is so close that no one notices.

I am thinking of selling my 1998 LX470. 175,000 miles.
Seems like people in this thread can really take care of my baby!
Any interest ?

I did the lseat covers and the only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have the right attachments for the airbags so I had to do some hand sewing to fix that part.
