HID for both...I have yet to see an LED bulb throw light like an HID can in a projector headlight. If anybody has, I'd love a link.

I used HID's from DDM tuning and oem projectors for the low's and front fog's.

Low beams: H1 bulbs, 5500K, 50 watt ballasts. Fed by a relay triggered via one of the low beams. You'll want to disconnect your DRL's or they'll try to turn the low's on but you'll get no lights.

Front fog lights: 3500K , 35 watt ballasts. (with real fog, the lower the "K" number, the better you'll actually see) No harness, HID's are wired into oem wiring.

No issues with either low's or fog's after about 2.5 years.

Have fun and go slowly. High beams are easier but you'll need a step drill to punch out a 7/8" hole through the low beam rear plastic cover. Ballasts mount easily to the top of the housings, I attached mine with industrial grade Velcro. Low beam passenger side ballast can tuck neatly in back of the parking light housing, once you remove the housing. On driver's side, too many cables already being the park light housing, so mine is mounted in front of the battery. Most of my installation time was spent thinking about how to run the harness neatly and out of the way. Wiring is plug and play.

You'll also need to drill the same hole in your fog light housings...easiest to remove the housings and do it on the bench. The 7/8" hole can go anywhere you can be clearance on the housing as the replacement bulb is much shorter than the H1 bulb for the low beams.

Let me know if anything doesn't make sense.

Apparently sometimes, and that's based on some reports on HID installation in the 100 series forum on mud. Searching there should help. The issue, iirc, was with 50 watt ballasts running with factory wiring. On some trucks it worked, on others not.

I wanted 6000K lights, so with 50 watt ballasts that's what I got with 5300K bulbs. Iirc, the next bump up would have been bluish, meaning less light than white.

The relay harness with fuse was only another $10.
