Advice on buying LX 470 (2007)
Our family is growing by one and we're moving up the great white north in a month. Our plan was to sell both the 2003 RX and 1998 ES and buy a 2005 Durango and 2008 GMC Envoy from a family member.
I'll be driving a 26 ft U-Haul truck 4500 miles and didn't want to tow a trailer...until now.
By chance, I stumbled across this 2007 LX 470 with 124,000 miles on it (both of our current Lexus' have 165,000 and have been doing fine). It has been serviced by the dealership since day 1. They have gotten all oil changes and recommended work done there (T-belt at 90,000 with water pump and accessory belts).
Just had the 120,000 mile service
at 114,000 miles it had both front shocks replaced w/hydraulic fluid (?) and bank 2 catalytic converter replaced.
At 111,000 miles it got a new alternator and battery.
I've read great things about these trucks, except for potential problems with the air suspension/ride height adjustment. I'll make sure that works, but is there anything else I should look for in particular?
Despite having no sales tax in AK, this truck would still be $4,000 cheaper to buy in TX and tow behind a U-Haul (4-wheel car carrier).
Opinions and/or Advice?

Sounds like a good one. 2007 is the last year for the 100 series Land Cruiser (or LX470), and the 2007 model year is actually kinda rare since they were winding down production. Not much bad to say about them. If the price is right, I'd grab it.

I really wish we could have purchased it, but we found out that it is too wide, too long, and too heavy to put on a U-Haul auto carrier. It that wasn't the case, we'd surely had picked it up!
Maybe we'll find one in Alaska at some point.

It's definitely NOT an "air" suspension...it's all hydraulic. The fluid needs changing at 60K, I tend to do mine at 30K. You can check the AHC system basically by putting the truck in Low position and marking fluid level on the outside of the tank w/ piece of tape. Then move the truck up to High...you'll want to see the fluid go down in the tank at least 8 graduations.
Remember that posts regarding AHC issues only come from those with issues...It's unusual to see a post from somebody like me that's had ZERO AHC issues.
I'm a new member and not sure if I can reference another LX/Land Cruiser forum here...email me from here if that would help. The color of the fluid in the tank should be clear with a slight rose-colored tint...if it looks like coffee, flush and change fluid immediately.
