LX470 trailer brakes

I have an '04 LX470 with the factory tow package, and 7 pin connector. Does anyone know if the brake connector is live? I don't have the car to put a meter on the pin - it's going to arrive back a day before I need to tow, so if there's something I need to do I want to be ready to go.
