Default Need to replace leather portion of center console on LX470

I bought a used console on ebay, because the latch on my old one was broken and it wont stay shut. They don't sell just the latch. So I bought a used console with a latch that is NOT broken. I want to take off the leather of this used one, replace it with the leather of my original center console and then install it all back in the car with my original leather cover, but newly purchased latch portion. Please advise on how to do this. Thanks!

I cannot see how the leather can be removed from the lid base. I don't see any screws.

if there is a way to just get the latch off that would probably work better...but not sure if the latch will come off that way.

I currently have mine in that same exact state but am trying to use Permatex Plastic Weld Epoxy to attach a recycled “Hook” to my existing console top.

Waiting on Amazon delivery of Epoxy. 3500 psi rating once cured.

I used Toyota Part #58908-32050 to fabricate the hook.
note: I discarded the vast majority and milled out the hook portion.

Kasia,
Should not cost much or take much time to have an upholsterer swap the leather to your functional piece. My repair is currently working splendidly.

Kasia, you have 2 more screws to take out before the latch can be removed.
