I just purchased a 2000 LX470 with 96,000 miles on it. It runs great, but I would like to upgrade the performance as much as is available out there. Does anyone have experience with the TRD Performance Air Filter, similar to the K & N filter.

Any horsepower gains seen?

I don't have any experience with it on the LX, but it will be the same as any other vehicle - nothing you're going to notice. An air intake alone won't make any difference you can feel.

Have you checked into the TRD supercharger? Now that is an upgrade you'll notice.

IIRC, other members mentioned about the K&N filters filtering out less dirt for more air flow. There would be more air with the mixture with fuel but you will also have more dirt in your engine. Are you up for that?

There are definitely mixed feelings about K&N filters. Without a dyno, you'll never know the difference if that's your only upgrade.
