The radio reception in my truck is very bad. Am has nor exemption at all. Fm reception is poor, depending where I'm located. I took the the truck to a lexus dealer and they said that I need a new fm receiver and the price is $700.

Is this something I can do my self. Could bad reception be from a different problem?

Is the only way to test if antenna is disconnected require removing the radio

Can the antenna have a bad connection some place else?

There are 2 ends... the antenna end and the radio end. It's unlikely either end came out unless the vehicle was serviced in some way in those area. But you never know
