Default VSC Question

I have a question about vsc that may not have been thought about before. I own a 2003 lx470. I live in north jersey so when it snows, my vsc system gets pretty active. My question is regarding how many wheels can the vsc system actively brake at the same time. I also have a gx460 2011, and when that car begins to skid, specifically understeer, the gx seems to be extremely good at correcting its path. However, the LX when understeering seems to have a tougher time trying to get the car to stop. I guess one possibility could be that the LX is heavier than the gx and thus has more momentum to control when understeering.

The reason i bring this up is because a while ago i overheard someone talking about how the lx has a less sophisticated system due to its old age (obviously, computers have way evolved since 2003). But they said when skidding, the LX VSC can only apply the brakes to one wheel at a time, whereas a newer, say 2011 GX460 can apply braking power to multiple wheels at any given time.

Is it true that the 2003 LX can only brake one wheel at a time while over or understeering?
