Default Remove gas cap in order to start engine

Hi everyone. My 2000 lx470 has this issue, and I'm curious if someone has experienced it. Every few days I would have to remove the gas cap and wait for about two minutes in order to start the engine. If the cap is not removed, the engine would just crank but could never turn over and start. Whenever I remove the cap, I would hear a gush of air.

next time this happens.....it turns over and doesn't start.....see if your check engine light comes on with ignition in ON position.. (engine not running). FYI, older LX's have main engine room junction blocks going bad.
