Default Advice on 2003 LX470 for sale

Many thanks in advance

I recently found a 2003 LX470 with 120,000 miles (180,000 km) on it. One owner and serviced at the lexus dealership. Price is in the low 20's (CDN). I have read a lot on the reliability etc. but I am wondering if this is worth considering or waiting and trying to find something with lower miles/kms.

Used LX, are few and far between in my area, just appreciate some input from experienced owners.

Many thanks

Lx's especially low mileage ones are really hard to find, the price seems about right especially where you are. They are very reliable cars, but the timing belt, air suspension, and rust are the main things i would look for. When i used to live in clveland, there was an 03 lx470 with 67k miles. The dealer was asking 23k if i remember correctly. The car is clean and in very good condition, the color though is what is the reason for the low price according to the sales person. The dealer pecializes in shipping cars over seas and said that all the buyers want is black cars, so this one has been on the lot a while. It a mint greenish color over tan. You may want to consider it since its about the same price, almost half the mileage and only a few thousand more with a dealer that has experience with shipping out of the country. Heres a link, i drove the car while in school in Ohio and it was very nice. Figured i'd help you out

I agree with gray-es300.

I have a 2003 LX 470. I bought this 3yrs ago from a dealer here in MA. LXs with low miles are harder find. If time is not a factor try to find one with low miles with dealer service history/carfax. When I bought mine, it had only 37k miles and serviced by the local lexus dealer. It didn't hurt to know LX was driven by an elderly lady.

If you are buying from a lexus dealer, try to get their service warrenty if they offer.

Try ebay, craigslist, carmax, local lexus dealers.
