Default HID Install 07 LX470

I ordered the following from XenonDepot for the LX.
- 4300k H3 Xtreme HID for the Fog Lamps
- 4300k H1 Xtreme HID for the Low Beams
- 4000k PUTCO 9005 Mirror White for the High Beams (a great color match alongside the HID's)

I installed them last week and have been so impressed. This is one upgrade that seemed necessary on the LX. The factory lights were just not enough, especially when having become accustomed to a vehicle with HID's.

The only surprise with the install was the "Squirrel Spotter" light pattern that became very obvious with the HID's. You can see in the one pic the 4 rectangles of light above the low beam pattern. Once I read up on the spotters and learned about their function, I have grown accustomed to them and like them. They illuminate street signs nicely and reflect upward off the road.

Glad to hear and see that you are happy with your Xtreme HID kit :-) 4300k is definitely the best way to get the brightest possible output.

Enjoy!

Thumbs up Did you add any additional devices

HI kindly advise if you added any extra electrical devices other than HID kits ballasts to make all of them work together in the same time. i would like to do the same to my 2005 LX470 but people keep telling me that more than 2 ballasts is too dangerous for the electrical integrity of the car.
is this true? if yes what additional components should buy?
thanks

NOMAD77: It really depends on the ballasts. The ballasts used in the Xtreme HID kit are low draw meaning that you can safely power them directly from the OEM wiring if you prefer. The kit does come with relay harnesses though so you can power them directly from the battery and simply utilize your OEM wiring as a switch if you prefer.

I just ordered a set from CarXenonHidKits.com

They'll arrive today and I will install this weekend.

They're plug in play, so I'm hoping for an easy install. Does anyone have a write up with pics on changing the bulbs? I just bought the truck so I don't even know what it looks like under the hood yet.

Thanks guys.

Newbie here.

you know, i ended up keeping the Squirrel Spotters. I actually came to like them. I liked how they projected up onto road signs while driving along. So i kept.

Do you have a pic to post of your truck from the front with your lights on?
