Integrity (squeaks and rattles)
How does everyones LX rate in the squeak and rattle dept. I have heard complaints on the LX having a lot of interior noises. has anyone here experienced this problem?

Our LX is -much- quieter than our GS and has far fewer rattles. Of course both were purchased used and how they were treated by their prior owners has a huge effect.

Just one irritating noise
Our LX is over a year old and with over 35k is one of the quitest if not the most quitest vehicle that I have driven. I have had only one minor irritating problem with interior noise. Around 20k, we moved the second row seats up and down quite a bit for a few weeks, cargoing stuff around.
Since then the second row seats have never been the same. They end up producing a very quite and annoying squeaky noise from the bottom of the seats. I have had the dealer look at the problem three different times with mixed results. They have been able to tighten the hooks that fasten to the floor each time, and the noise seems to go away for a couple of weeks, and then its back again. However if people are sitting on the seats, there would be no noise, indicating that the seats are not attached tightly to the floor when there are no passengers on the seats.
I am going to mention it to the dealer at the next service, and hopefully they can finally fix it for good.
Other than this one noise, the car is very quite on the inside. But again, this would vary based on how the car has been treated in the past.

We have had our '02 470 since November 17th, so may be too
new to have squeeks and rattles. It is QUIET!!! It reminds me of the LS 400 we bought in 1990 - that was our first Lexus experience and it was SUPER. We love Lexus and feel there is no better vehicle on the road. Just MHO.
