Default Catalytic converter heat shields

Hey guys.

I need to know if it's possible to replace the heat shields on the catalytic converters on an LX470. They seem to be buzzing at certain RPMs when the pipes are cold and haven't warmed up yet.

Thanks

The common fix is 1 or 2 metal hose clamps wrapped around each cat. I forget which size so you'll have to measure first.

Drive it hard and warm it up. No problem.

Lol, it's my sister's car and she doesn't like the feeling of driving something prestigious that's buzzing around.

But the hoseclamp idea is a good one and I actually thought about it myself. I think I'll give it a try.

Thanks

Took care of it a few weeks ago. Great fix for something she was going to get charged $300 for. Also when she took it in to the dealer to get an estimate they told her she had both manifolds cracked. LOL. Were going to charge her $2000+ to fix that. Where they got that, is beyond me. But thanks for the clamp idea anyhow.
