If you don't mind a weekend project it can be done. What you need is a dampening material similar to Dynamat Extreme. There are several varieties on the market that can be had for a fraction of the price of Dynamat Extreme and work exactly the same.
In order to effectively treat your LX you will need to remove 75% of your interior starting with the seats. Work your way down eventually removing the carpet. Apply the product completely over any and all sheet metal and all existing sound deadening material from Lexus. This will help kill/eliminate any road noise that was coming through.
If you decide to go through with a project like this make sure to have a hair dryer on hand. Keeping the material warm makes the job much easier.

He has the best stuff.......i have done 3 IASCA cars. Very quiet......very cheap, fast shipping. Cant say enough about the level of service provided.
You should hear a LS 430 before and after with some of his stuff. Night and day difference, and LS430 are dead quiet from the factory!

I have order 100 sq ft at a time, but you could start with 50 and see how you like it.
But, remember I was a bit extreme and did the whole car (GS400) - but you have a LX which is much larger.
So up to your budget constraints, if any. You will be very pleased....

shiftup- i just bought a roll of b-quiet and I'm going to do a first gen and second gen gs.
think 50 sqft will be enough? if not, what areas should i cover to maximize 25 sq ft for each car?
also- have any photos of your car during the process? any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks!

we had to use more that 100 sq ft - as the entire car was gutted - sorry no pics I wasnt not competing with the GS, but was done the same way in previous comp. vehicles. I will dig around to see what I have - my trunks was sprayed, but the rear quarter panel were done, so I could go take some pics of that.
Focus on the rear bench, entire truck including where the tailight housing are, truck lid, rear deck.
Then start on the doors, front first, then rear.
After that, start on the floor boards(Factory stuff here is pretty good IMHO), so if you dont get to do this part - your still well ahead of the game if you do the above.
Lemme know - post pics.....LOL
