Tailgate shock replacement
My parents have a 98 LX and the tailgate shocks are starting to go...when the tailgate is opened it does not go all the way up.
Do any of you know of any aftermarket supplier of the shocks? The dealer wants 110 each
. I would like to find both for under 100.

Try a Toyota Dealership. Ive found their products,which are the exact same thing to be a decent percentage lower than the Lexus dealership, for the SAME part number. Call lexus, get the part number then call toyota and ask them if they have two in stock.
