lx headlight adjustment?
1998 lx470. I find the long adjustment screw on the driver's side headlight assembly but the passenger side does not have the same screw; (the assembly was replaced once); it has a small white **** instead but does not seem to want to budge; have tried pushing in and turning, pulling out and turning but to no avail and do not want to force it. how do you adjust the passenger side headlight (vertically)? thanks.

Ok its not the best picture but its what i have uploaded right now. You see that LONNNNG silvery/white screw/bolt type deal going from underneath the bulb housing up to the radiator support, with the rusty peice of metal supporting it? On the front end of that radiator support between the high and low beam housings, you should find a philips-head that you can turn to adjust the headlights.
If you dont have that screw then you kind of SOL, maybe you should return to where the headlight got replaced and mention that is missing.
Also welcome to Club Lexus! Seems like im finally getting some company here in the LX section, i was practically all alone last year, lol. lxer, where in the state of NY are you?

Joe, definately try to get it up there in the list of mods. I never really considered how much of an impact it would have, but as soon as i installed them i thought it was the best money ive ever spent on my truck...greater then my navigation.

headlight mod
Hi 1LoudLex...
You have "spoken" to me before about the headlight mod and I still have not done it but am again considering it. I am not a do it yourselfer with my car...so I have to find someone I trust who is willing to do it, the cost to have it done, plus the cost of the parts. Can you tell me what exactly you had to purchase, where you got it, and how much time was involved to do the mod? Thanks for your help.

I bought the kit at www.xenondepot.com for the H1. Took about 45mins because i had to think about where to put the ballasts. Instead of paying someone upwards of several hundred dollars to install the kit, I would be willing to help you out. shoot me a PM.
