Default just installed one!!!

How ironic...I just installed the Stowaway2 (swingaway model) on my 04 lx 470.

Install took a bit of work, but it is made VERY solidly! Just finished it up tonight, and love it!!! Will be goin from chicago to michigan this week with it. Plan to stuff it full of things.

Go to www.stowaway2.com

email me if you want more info (cypress822@yahoo.com). I can tell you all about the little details that would save you a lot of time on your install!!

If you are going to buy one, make sure you buy it directly from the company....ask for "Erin"--she helped me out like you would not believe. They have to make a minor modification becuase of the hitch set up on the 04 lx 470. Tell her Perry sent ya...she'll remember.

Thanks for the info, I had found the website.

Both of my kids have hockey tournaments between Christmas and New years. We'll be traveling first from northern Chicago 'burbs to South Bend, Indiana, and then to Peoria, Illinois. Having to carry two hockey bags and luggage is gonna be a challenge.

I'll e-mail you if I end up buying from them.

Thanks!

Ended up buying this...

24"x60" tray rated to hold 500lbs.

light kit

the soft sided case. 20 cu. ft. storage.

and I purchased the adapter to fold up the basket.

With what I spent, I could have spent a bit more and purchased the completely enclosed models, but I like the flexability of being able to carry things such as lawn mowers, snow blowers or bags of mulch. In those instances, I just won't use the soft sided case.

Something that I may have been limited if I purchased the box type carriers.

Bought the stuff from e-trailer.com. They were very helpful and I got it in a day (standard shipping).
