Default Was This a Good Deal

Just bought a Used 2000 LX470 from a dealer, Lexus of Silver Spring (Maryland). It is Riverock Green Mica with 81K miles, Nakamichi Stereo, no roof rack, no tow hitch. Lexus Dealer had it listed for 27.8K, I got them down to 25.7K. It also had a good service history, no major repairs on the Lexus dealer records. (By the way, thanks to the person who posted the message that any Lexus dealer can pull up the service records of any Lexus serviced at a dealer.)
Never paid this much for a used car, but I'm counting on the truck giving me another 80K miles. Heck, the last new car I bought cost less than the used LX470!
Do you think this was a good price?

Can't say for sure but sounds decent. According to blue book (kbb.com) it's a good deal. You might want to post the same message in the LX forum since this is GX forum.

Was it a good price?

A tad bit late to ask doncha think
Take care of her and she'll last more than just another 80k miles -- you can count on at least 250k on the engine and tranny. Not to say that you won't have to have (or do yourself) some fairly pricey maintenance. But we all know that before we buy a full-time 4wd truck...right?

$25k is a very fair price IMHO.
At 80k miles, there's no chance it was a CPO vehicle, was it?

Too many miles to be CPO.

To give you some perspective.

When I bought my '04 Land Cruiser last December, I traded in my '98 Land Cruiser with 86K miles.

The NAK stereo obviously wasn't an option, but it had every other available option...

Roof rack
Tow package
Rear heater
locking rear diff
etc.

The car was in mint condition, I really babied it, the only thing it needed was a new set of tires.

Dealer gave me $18K in a trade and I know they were asking a little over $22K for it. I also know that they did put a new set of rubber on it because I saw it on their lot. It sold pretty quickly, but I don't know for how much.

Now at the time my LC was a six year old vehicle, and your LX is now a five year old vehicle (a little newer) and given that the Lexus badge will command a little higher price, it sounds like a fair deal.

Hope that helps. Congrats and enjoy the new vehicle.
