Default height control?

Lately, the LX has been messin up with its height control thing. I realized this when my dad raised the car to the HI level, i noticed that the car woudl go up, then go back down to the normal level, then try to go back up. Is it possible that a motor or something is not working right? I'm not sure if theres anything wrong, and that it was my own imagination, seeing the car go up and down, but im pretty positive that i did notice it raising up to hi, then going back to the normal position. Anyone else have this problem?

Measure the height to the top of the wheel well on low, normal and high for the front and rear. Post that info in this thread.

check the height control on the speedometer and see if it keeps on changing by itself and also listen for the suspension, since its air suspension.

I noticed this hunting for height level condition (while stopped or parked) in both my '00 and '02 LX470. Have not seen it in my '04LX at this point (after 6 months).

Both the '00 and '02 LX's did have wheel sensors related to the height control that failed and were replaced under warranty, so perhaps it is some sort of precursor to the failure of a sensor. Or perhaps it was normal for those models and has just been corrected (revised away) in the '04 model.

Try this, sit in your car in the parking lot, and when you feel that it's going up by itself, then look at your side mirror, and look closely to see if it really is going up.
