I'm not sure if this has been posted before. I did post this over in the GX forum area, but I put it here too because I figured you guys would be interested too. I'm sure there was speculation and rumours about this. I actually don't know if this engine will be coming to the Lexus though. There will be a 282 HP (with 328 lb ft torque) VVT-i 4.7L that will go in the 05 Tundra though. I'm assuming that if it is going in the Tundra next year it won't be far from the Lexus either. we really dont know if theyll put that engine in the lexus suvs. we'll just have to wait and see

I promise you that engine will be in the LX. No way a toyota truck or suv will have more power than a more expensive Lexus.

Somebody over in the GX forum called Lexus Corporate and were told straight up that it was coming to the GX. I would assume if the GX gets it the LX would. Somebody might want to call Lexus corporate and fund out for sure if it will make the cut in the LX.

How would one go about asking that? "Hey, any word if the new LX will be getting a boost in engine power?" that simple?
