dvd rear seat
hello, all
I like to have a flip down dvd install in my lx470 , anybody can give me a ref. and who is in town can do fairy reasonalble price? I live in Dallas TX, I have check with Cartoy already.

What did cartoys tellyou? Over a year ago I asked Tweeters the same question and they said they would not do it because of the sunroof being in the way. I also asked if they knew anyone that could, their answer was most don't due to sunroof. I ended up doing it myself with an alipne 6.5" fold down monitor.

We had our DVD/flip down monitor installed at at the "Good Guys". It cost us $1500 total, out the door. We got the Alpine 7" flip down monitor (it sits behind the sunroof and takes the place of the overhead cabin light) and an Audiovox DVD player (it was installed inside the middle console). We also have 2 Alpine wireless headphones included with the monitor. The installer did say it was difficult to install the system and it took him about 8-9 hours to install.

cartoy ask me to bring the car in for them to look at. i just want to check for refferences.
btw, they quoted around 1,800 for Audiovox 10.1 flipdowm with tv tuner.

I finally got DVD player installed @ Ultimate Electronic, it is 10.4 inch flipdown Audiovox with TV tunner. I'll post pictures but dont know how.

tv tuner is working just ok! not too great, the reason I said that is I dont really care too much. I bought this for the kids to watch DVD. I have not try on highway yet.

I kinda looked into this but realized that it would be useless (no kiddies) but I think Good Guys are the only ones that will tackle that install with the sunroof. Headrest screens makes it difficult for third row folks and to have them installed in the second row cost so much it makes more sense to just get the flip down.
