Coolant check
I have a dumb question, is monitoring the coolant level in the reservoir of my '09 LS sufficient or should I monitor the radiator directly? If not I am having a hard time finding the cap on the radiator.
I ask because in a previous car I owned I made the mistake of only monitoring the coolant reservoir. Even though the reservoir was full my radiator ended up going dry and things didn't turn out well. I want to make sure I don't overlook anything on my LS.
Thanks.

You only need to monitor your coolant level from the radiator reserve tank. Make sure the engine is cold and if the coolant level is just slightly above the low it should be fine.

if the coolant level is slightly above "low", wonder if we should top it up to near "full"?

I'm kind if **** with my coolant, I change mine once a year (I drive around 30k a year). I figure why not? I'm not getting it all out anyway, so a simple drain and fill will do the trick.
