What would you do?
I am in the market for an LS 460 and I recently saw a 2013 LS 460 F sport with 65,000 miles selling for $47,000. It is silver with a black interior and the car is certified. I currently own a 2004 LS 430 with 287,000 miles and the dealer is willing to give me $7,500 for the car. Would anyone pull the trigger on this deal if you were in my shoes?

I would say the millage is a bit high but it seems like mostly highway miles.
If the car is in immaculate condition I would consider it and it will prove to be as reliable if not more reliable then your current 430.

The 430 is towards the end of its life at 287k miles, if you like the 460, and its in good shape, has been well maintained, go for it.

The car is in excellent condition. But I have never really considered the F sport model because I like the standard wood trim better. Are there any F sport owners who are satisfied with their selection? In my opinion after test driving it I can get used to it. I guess the price is what is pulling me to the car. Plus the offer they gave me for my trade is the highest I have received so far.

I think the only disappointment with the F sport was the pads making noise which was corrected by Lexus.
If you are not really into the F sport layout I would certainly get a non F sport with lower millage for the same price.
Also If the F-sport was AWD I would pass.

Has anybody done this with their LS?

I wouldn't spend $47,000 if you didn't like the trim level of the car and would "get used to it". Just wait and buy the car you really want.
I think it's smart moving up to the LS 460, because even the earlier models - the one's that have gotten a bad reputation, are still outstanding vehicles. So I imagine the later models are bullet proof - you'll be buying a high end luxury vehicle that will be virtually flawless in reliability. But I would just wait to find the one I really liked.

I just went through a 2 month search for an LS myself. The toughest part for me was accepting that there aren't a lot of them available and I had to be patient to get a deal with the options I liked. I ended up with a CPO 2010 with 69k miles for $30,000. No accidents, one owner and full maintenance history with few signs of wear. I'm OK with less tech on the '10 vs the '12 for the $17,000 savings, similar mileage. I did a daily search on Lexus.com, cargurus, and auto trader for CPOs within a 200 miles radius. I finally found 2 the same weekend, 2 hrs and 3 hrs away. I bought the first one because the dealer worked with me on the deal, good trade in value too. Some of the dealers take a no haggle approach, I just walked away from them. Best luck and patience in your search.

I would agree with anyone and everyone that says wait for the one YOU want. I have spent several years looking around for the one that I wanted. I am extremely happy that I found the one I have and that I didn't settle. There are options that would have "been cool if they were there" but not must be there. I found an 08 I am the second owner. I purchased the car from the original selling dealer and it was serviced at the same place the entire time. I can literally see everything done to the car since purchase and I can talk to the exact person who did it. I got what I wanted and I walked from several descent deals to find a great one, If you are able to show that you are not going to settle it really helps.

Agree with others who tell you to wait and buy the right one. There are plenty of cars coming out of lease and others being traded in on 2015's. Soon the 2016's will be out and you'll see even more. Patience is quite the virtue with these cars.
Keep looking until you find the one that melts your butter!

If you're willing to spend that amount of money on a vehicle, then get the one you will be completely satisfied without any doubts.

patience is truly the key. When I bought my 600, I settled on my SGM color because I wanted a white 600 and search for over a month with no luck...the ones I did find had major issues and were not CPO. So, i worked a killer deal on my 600 over email with the salesperson and they finally accepted my terms. THAT NIGHT as I was scrolling car sites, about 3 CPO white 600s showed up..all certified and near my starting price for negotiations i had on the SGM...ughhhhhh, but at the end of the day, i love my SGM and glad I bought it. BUT, my next LS will be white no matter how long it takes

The Fsport you listed is a bit cold and industrial inside, if it's this one: http://www.lcpo.com/VehicleDetails/c...-VA/2535291683
