Very overcast day right now. Pics don't give it justice. And I can't figure out how to make that picture rotate. Just stand on your head please. Or can a Mod help a member out😉

I thought it looked dark for 40. Cool, thanks! I'm leaning towards 35 over 40

I have used both the 30% and 40%. Both are nice, just depends on what you like...and also what color the interior is because a dark interior will make it look darker from outside and harder to see inside. I have also used 40% on fronts and 30% on rears and back.
Since you live in Maryland (in lieu of FL, TX, AZ, LA, NM, CA, etc) you are not exposed to the intense sun, nor the 100+ degree temperatures, so that alone might help you decide to go with a less dark tint. Also, if you do a fair amount of night driving, or are getting 'on' in age a bit, or have dark interior, then the lighter 40% may be a better choice. If I had to make the choice for you with the color combo of your car, the type of car it is, and your location and age - I would go with 40% all around (sides and rear) with 30% on the sunroof.
Hope that helps...

I think thats the best. I don't want to be hassled by cops, and seeing that I use the car to drive clients around and such I don't want it to look real dark.
I'll post pictures tomorrow! Appointment is at 3:00.

I actually went in yesterday (dealership, second time) and had them redone at 30%. First attempt had grass blades and dirt in between the tint and glass. I will go out in a moment and take a picture(currently enjoying some espresso) If they didn't get it right this time will have it removed and will go to a different shop that will do the 25% all the way around. He will also put a film on the windshield inside and out that will reduce heat and uv rays. I am moving back to the states from Germany and the difference is 60 degrees at my home in Grafenwoehr and 100 degrees in San Antonio. It is so damn hot!
So the back shade is up, partially cloudy day and front sunshade is up too. On the picture from the side you can easily see into the car even with black interior.

I think the 40% will make your LS look really good from both the outside and the inside. The tinting will not be too dark, which I think is important for a car like the LS. In my opinion a large car like an LS should not have tinting that is too dark...unless it is being used as a limo or 'black car'. Also, the view from inside the car looking outside will not be as dark as it will looking from outside the car to inside, which is also important. That said, if you elect to lower the car to the max, roll the fenders, put on some bling wheels, install colored LED ground lights, add a large decal on the windshield, etc., then by all means black-out those windows...

Steve - Do you know if the installer will be using a computer cut machine for the window patterns, or will he be hand cutting/trimming everything?
