I am going to remove the roof trim on my LS 460 to wrap with carbon fiber. I was told that the clips that fasten them are unusable once the trim has been taken off. I would like to purchase some in advance to have on hand during removal. Does anyone know what these clips are like or have part number or reference photo?

If you are careful you can get the trim off and reuse the clips. They are snap in clips but I don't remember the part number. They were, though, on the schematic at Lexus parts on-line.

Thanks Fhobbs, I purchased a set of trim tools. (the plastic set that looks like mini crowbars) and started to pry. It seemed like it wanted to come up easily- I just wasn't prepared to go through the process at that time.

Post a pic when you're done please! My trim started to peel so I was going to get the whole roof as well as the trim wrapped. Good luck, Ive tried to wrap a whole car before with below grade A material wont try that again.
