ahh gotcha. I have no idea but would like to know. Mine has a small crack in it, so I'll probably be replacing it soon. I saw one flapping loose on the highway once. I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread. Someone may have an answer soon.

Those are held by clips. Anytime the windshield is replaced, those trim pieces need to be removed. If you had a recent windshield replacement, you should go see the shop that did it to make sure they didn't break them. They do break easily.

I had a similar problem and posted pictures in another thread. Any glue and adhesive would not work. Very hard to get in place. Having said that, it would be best to remove the trim in its entirety before trying to glue (maybe you would be better at glueing it than I). I wound up replacing the trim on both sides purchased from Lexus Parts on-line. About $250 per side. Replacement was very easy. Took 30 minutes at most.

Strips are about 540 each, I called lexus about mine and they agreed to split the cost of the parts with me.
I opted to handle it on my own since I was getting my replacements for really cheap from a friend.
There is no way to really repair it long term that I found, I hated how ugly it looked so having mine replaced this weekend.

Trim Fix
Mine has not gotten too bad yet. They are structurally sound. I am thinking that I will pop them off and paint them body color- base/clear.

Well I don't like the sound of that. I had read that a few had painted their black and not body color. I guess sI will have some gloss black film on as a backup if they are not paint-able.

Mine did the same thing. Wrap peeled off about a foot and a half and exposed a not so pretty chrome underneath. Getting both strips and roof wrapped black carbon fiber for 300. I thought that was a better route than taking them off and painting them myself.
