Default Replacing speakers and subwoofer...need some help..

hello everyone and happy Easter..

this is my first lexus and also my first post. I just bought a 2015 ls460 non ml package....I don't know why I didn't get the upgrade but it was a stupid mistake....should have gotten the upgrade with the side-window privacy.....now im drooling at other lexus that have it.....

anyhow im trying to add aftermarket speakers to my lexus. the current sound system does not have that punch in it that im looking for. Ive been looking everywhere but could not locate any literature on my ls.

what im trying to do is to add an aftermarket subwoofer and and speakers to the system without adding an amplifier. keep everything stock as possible.

I have the polk audio 8"sub woofer DB840DVC at 8ohm that I think is an exact fit just to drop in. and I will do 2 6x9 alpine in the front. will this work just as a drop in? or do I have to get a 4 ohm sub and speakers to drop in place of the current ones. does anyone know what is the spec rating to the factory speaker for non ML.?

Thanks guys.

one last thing Ive been seeing everyone removing the back seats to change the speakers, does the grill just pop out and we slide the sub in?

You have to be careful with the ohm ratings as too much load will fry your factory amp. I suggest to just screw the idea and run a full digital processor and amps. You honestly won't see a difference by just swapping the speakers.
