The perfect April Fools joke!
Greetings friends. Hope everyone is enjoying this Fools Day.
Looks like My LS pranked me! I took off at lunch for the gym. When I got in the car, opened the console and went for my headphones, the oddest thing happened. Somehow the wire got stuck in the inside top part. It looks like a secret compartment or something, but I don't see a latch. No matter how hard I tried, the earbuds will not budge.
What in the world is going on here? See attached photo. Help!!!

Just grab the wire and pull it outside the box, and while lowering the lid partially, pull the wire. That should pull the headphones out.
Its a pretty neat mechanism, but the part where your headphones are pinched is the spot where two pieces of the bottom of the lid meet. When you open/close the lid, these pieces slide together/apart.

Yes, I get stuff pinched in there all the time. As kitchamp said just lower the console as low as you can to closing and then pull out the caught item.

The good news: Your tip worked perfectly. Thank you!!
The bad news: The earbuds were toast. I pulled so hard on them, they no longer worked.
So, I bought another set of these inexpensive, but highly rated buds. I'm listening to them now as I type. I like having several pair lying around. These things are crazy good for $7.00!
