Exclamation Anyone run these tires on their LS460?

Amazon.com: Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 Radial Tire - 245/45R19 98V: Automotive Amazon.com: Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 Radial Tire - 245/45R19 98V: Automotive

I have an 08' 460L with touring package. 19" wheels.

At $105 with free shipping for prime members I picked up a set.
If they are just plain awful I will hold till time comes to trade the car.

Anyone ever own these?

Thanks

Joe

I have never owned these but would be interested in knowing how they perform in terms of ride quality and quietness.

I will post a review in a few weeks. I did a little research and it seems like these tires were stock for Tesla's and many owners replaced with the same tire.

I have the stock Bridgestone Turanzas and they are awful. I can't imagine a tire worse than these.

Just received the tires today. Amazon Prime delivery 2 business days.
Total price for 4 tires $437 total with tax.. free shipping.
Set up an appointment for mounting and balancing tomorrow $100 total for 4 wheels. This includes tire disposal.

I will post a review and pics after install.

If they suck, I will order the Primacy's and pull these.

AT $537 for a new set it's hard to beat. If there good I will order another set.

I had the tires installed today and I drove about 100 miles on them.
I am not a professional tire assessor but I really like them so far. Coming from the Turanzas I did not notice any increase in road noise. The car handles great with the new rubber. Some of this could just be new tires versus the near end of life Bridgestones that were on the car. I drove through some rain and did not feel any slippage. It may snow here on Saturday and if so I will add more info here.
I will say that the Bridgestones were awful in the snow and slush. After a few months if they are good I will buy another set. For the price it's hard to beat.

I'm glad that so far you're happy. Not to rain on your wheaties, but Goodyear tires have NOT had a good track record.

My unsolicted advice- budget for the Michelin's. IMO and all that.

A few years back I would have been in lock step with ya on the Michelin's.
I had several sidewall bubbles with the MXV4's and at $225 a pop it was getting to be too much.
Should have added the road hazard but didn't.
Time will tell on these.

Unfortunately after some poking around, reviews online have not been favorable. Seems that the sidewalls have a common tendency to bubble and blow out.

Good luck with the purchase and I hope they continue to work out for you. Cant beat that price!

Wow, that's one of the lowest overall scores (2.5) I've seen on there!

I agree with Michelins.....best there is. I just haven't had the cash to spend on them. I have Falkens on now (my second set) and they're great without breaking the bank.

Which Falken model you have? I like Falken and I bought PT-722 to put on my MB E350 2 years ago... first year was great... but then they became very VERY noisy...

I bought a similar set for my LS430. They were rated to last 20,000 miles. I certainly got more than that. I took the car in every 10K for balance and rotation. They did fine. If I recall, they did get a bit noisy right before I traded the car on the LS460. But, for the money, they did the job and looked just fine on the car. Good luck with them.

FK452. They just replaced that model with the FK453, so 452's are going for CHEAP. I just got a staggered set of 20's for 800 bucks (650 U.S), installed, balanced, taxes etc.

I have used Goodyear tires in the past and in the present and they are reasonably good for their purpose being a budgeted tire.

Having said all of the Goodyear tires that I have bought got progressively worse and noisy the more miles you put on them which in my opinion are not suitable for the LS.

Every tire manufacture can have a lousy tire in their line up but as far as quality goes I like the higher end Bridgestones not to be confused with the tires the car came with.

I've put about 1500 miles on the car since installing these tires. Two trips from PA to upstate NY in a week will do that. During one of the trips it snowed for a few hours and as I headed home it turned to rain. Lots of rain. The tires performed very well in both the light snow and rain.
Yesterday I hit a pothole at about 70 MPH that I know would have caused a bubble in the wall of the Turanazs (I bubbled 2 tires this winter alone) and to my surprise no bubbles
I will post an update at 10,000 miles.
