Just picked up a 08 LS600hL and it is in need of a new middle Lexus emblem on the trunk. A brand new one from Lexus is over $300 which is crazy. Is that emblem interchangeable with any other Lexus model? If I took the hybrid one off would a regular Lexus L emblem work in its spot?

Thanks man. The regular Lexus L emblem in the middle of the trunk is only $20 new. The one that comes on my LS600hL is a different hybrid style emblem and is insanely expensive. I was wondering if any other Lexus hybrid models used the same emblem because I saw quite a few on ebay for a reasonable price.

Couple years ago I bought a blue hybrid rear emblem for my former 07 GS450h off of Ebay. I measured the height and width of the existing one and crossed my fingers and went for it. Turned out it was the one from a Lexus HS, and fit perfectly.

If you look on Ebay, make sure you know the dimensions and make sure it's for the trunk (to hopefully match the curvature).

Alright here's the verdict!

From Connan's Paint & Body Shop the LS600HL badge/rear emblem is $73.48, the "base" rear emblem for the LS460's is $28.26 and shipping would be extra.

I would recommend asking for Russell or Deanna in parts as I told them that some may be calling in for these.

Hello PMIR02 I take putting inaccurate pricing on the forum very seriously so i just called Connan's.

I got through to Russell and we started to do a bit of research and apparently the 2008-2009 cars badges cost in the $3xx range whereas the others in the $74 range as shown in this link that Russell just sent me: http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts-l...-interior.html

If you can't order straight from lexuspartsnow then you may just have to use Connan's.

i'm honestly clueless and can't figure out what could really be so different?

you should ask for the newer one and see if you can return it if it doesn't fit that way you don't have to pay the crazy high price.

What year and model is your LS? I could be wrong, but I thought the hybrid emblems were always blue, so you can't buy black 600hL emblems. Besides, the front emblem is different for cars with adaptive cruise control, so make sure the emblem you are interested in is compatible with your car.

They are pretty expensive.
