Default Override switch for DVD/Nav?

2007 LS460L with ML.

I've ordered the VAIS IVIC system to integrate my android phone, do I also have to buy the VAIS ULM-81 so I can watch DVD's and use the navigation whilst driving?

I want to do everything in one go, one install to save time and money. Is the ULM 81 the best way to go?, I did an override switch on a ES300 and it was a simple $20 switch, will this not work on the LS460L? Are they harder to crack or something. I've read up a bit but I'm still a little confused.

Thanks in advance for any help.

After further research, it seems the secret menu with the override option is not available for 2007 models and newer. I spoke to VAIS, they said the part I need is the ULM-051, not the 81. This can be installed with the VAIS IVIC system at the same time.

So I went ahead and ordered the ULM-051, on sale for $175.00.

Good day Sir,
Quick question if I may..
I've read a lot about systems, specifically VAIS, that allows one to integrate their Android device into the car as well as watch a DVD while the car is in motion. The options that you've decided to go with, that set-up will allow you to do both, correct? How much for everything and what is the price you're being quoted for installation?
Thanks!

$400 for the IVIC , $175 for the override ULM-051, both include ground shipping. I'll need the MHL adapter, about $28, a bluetooth mouse and a USB cord, say $20?

According to VAIS yes they can be installed together. Don't see how you would use them together, but you can switch from one to the other now. I figured it was best to do everything in one go.

I have DVD's from the UK so streaming everything through Netflix through the phone wasn't the solution.

Installation will be approx $100.

Searching this forum as I am interested in purchasing the Vaistech ULM-71 to integrate my Android smartphone, mostly for voice navigation of Google maps (but other smartphone functionality would be nice too). Not sure I need the bypass to play DVD's while car is in motion. I don't think I'd ever use that.

I have yet to purchase a vehicle. Looking at either a 2012 or 2013 LS 460. Which is easier to control the bypass - touchscreen or remote interface? This might be key to my decision.

Do I need the Ivic in addition to the ULM? Do I need a Bluetooth mouse? Not sure I understand what the two separate systems do or why you need both?

Thanks for your help!

Looks like the company sells a iVIc-6i. Will this let me use the navigation on my Iphone ?

Thanks
