I park all my cars like that. 100% strategy, all the time. Now the wife, shell park in a foot of wet mud immediatly in front of a Cat mining truck's right front tire. She doesn't give a rip. Ask me if she drives *my* LS...

defensive parking is a must, and i've got some big stares and frustrated people.

I think 6 spots was the most i took up once which is really extreme, but 2-4 spaces is easy. lol

Absolutely defensive parking is a must. Too many careless ppl out there who don't respect other's properties. I too hunt for the end spots, I like ones that have the crossed out areas, usually lean over those lines a bit. No one has ever said anything negative, 99% ppl don't notice, sometimes a compliment. Occasionally someone else with a nice car with equal OCD will join me in the corner and we might chat a bit.

That was a very appropriate response, not lowering yourself to that idiot's level.

It doesn't matter what car you own, what it cost or how old it is. Many people take pride in the appearance of their car regardless of make or price. I've known people with very basic cars who take excellent care of their car. To me that is an admirable trait.

Bawahaha!! I know exactly what you are talking about. My wife doesn't give a crap about her car, the other day she came home and half her rear bumper was damaged. I asked her what happened and if she noticed it, she said, oh wow I didn't know. Then walked into the house.

LOL!! My wife was the same until I bought her dream car and now she understands all about defensive parking, taking care of the car etc. what I hate is when I park way out with a sea of open parking spaces, I come out to some assclown who car looks like it has Your Fault coverage right next me.... Really?!!!!

I couldn't have said it better.
You said it best. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in nice things but it's another when class and status is tagged along with them.

My wife and I park far away and at the end of the row. Not only does it help protect our cars, we get exercise walking to the store or restaurant.

I have always parked as far away as possible and walked. I understand what he said about your car because the general public does think its a poor mans luxury car while they worship the Mercedes 550. I also chuckle because after having driven both cars I know I am in the finest car on the road.

I've parked may years away from all the careless drivers. No matter what I drive.

Your fellow Walgreens customer was probably half-lit and went to pick up some more joy juice...
