having an horrible week with the LS, my air suspension in the Rear sunk and now looks like the car is slammed in the rear. wondering if anyone knew what the issue would be? seems like its sagging

next question, if air suspension needs to be replaced i would like to know if i can just replace them with these http://www.accuair.com/vehiclekitpro...it-06up-ls-460 or if i would need anything else to get them installed. please let me know, going to dealer tomorrow to figure out whats wrong with the car

Is it sagging all the time or only when parked?

sounds like that brutal cold you are having up there is taking a cold on those bags...possibly dry-rotted/cracked?

just got back from Lexus, its apparently that the compressor valve cracked from the cold and was not pumping air into the rear suspension. so happy i don't have to replace the suspension. still a 500$ fix but just left the car with the guys of Lexus of Edmonton to do the work.

it was sagging all the time, the car was slammed when driving. the car was unbearable driving without the rear air suspension

$500 ain't terrible but still sucks. Glad you got it fixed for low cost. At least one of the corners doesn't need replacing at $1200 each! First I've heard of the Lincoln, Benz and Range Rover syndrome on our cars. You know..the folks who become pseudo modders but not by choice driving around dumped cars because they can't afford the air susp repair lmao!

to true CJITTY! the local lexus dealer owns a merceds dealership as well, and the service areas share the same lot, and i see bottomed out S-class's all the time! lol

Replaced passenger rear air strut today... 2010 Lexus LS 460 with 82000 miles... The car was making loud bang/thud noise over bumps coming from the rear passenger side as if there was something heavy jumping and hitting the floor of the trunk... Dealer diagnosed it and ruled that it is the rear passenger side air strut... When I bought this used LS 460 I was aware of the potential air strut problems with this particular Lexus model as I read several threads on this forum about this issue... I was ready for it... The extended warranty I bought covered the total cost of the repair

i've had both of mine replaced under warranty about 7 or so months ago, and that was with only about 20K miles on my car! lol

My other car is a Lincoln Mark VII. It's my 3rd. Had one in high school so it has a sentimental value.

Anyhow, the air springs on this one lasted for 20 years and 100k miles before I had to replace them. $200 per corner and about an hour of work. I only put about 3k miles a year on this one, mostly during summer months, cruising . Compressor is still original too.

Should be good for at least 15 years if not more, car is in a warm garage all year.

Thank you. I have it since 2008' got it with 72 k miles.

The road is rt 218' just past West Point campus. Nice little road I frequent when cruising around Bear Mountain.

wow that crazy how the valve crack .. im glad i live in the bay area. cant wait to install my air too . glad everything seem good now!
