Default 2007 or 2009 LS 460

I'm looking at a 2007 LS460 and a 2009 LS 460. Both have low mileage. Is the '09 worth $3,000 more? Has it had improvements over the '07 to justify paying a higher price? I realize it is 2 years newer, but has there been significant improvements since '07?

Greetings. The 07-09 are pretty much the same car. Depending on the mileage and the car's vin history, there's nothing wrong with the 07. it's good to look up all the service work done on both cars using the Lexus Driver's site through the vin.

If you can negotiate a little better deal, go with the 09.

Go with a newer car. It will be easier to resell.

I would say 09 if all things are equal, but it depends what options each car has. ML? Comfort plus? That makes a big difference. If they are only $3000 difference, it sounds like the 07 is loaded and the 09 in base.

Maybe I'm crazy too?

Greg brings up good point..if the 2007 has way more features, then go 2007. If they are about the same..I say fight for the 2009

I'd go for the 09 in the optimistic hope that it has slightly better build (i.e. lessons learnt from the 07-08) but having just researched/bought an LS myself, I know that the 07 and 09 are really identical, comes down to maintenance history between the two of them.

If you can get the 09 for 1500-2000 more; by book value alone that is worthwhile and certainly the way to go...

This.

These cars are likely completely different from each other and either could be the deal breaker/maker.
