Remember, there's always another deal right around the corner.

Once when buying a 74 Toyota Celica GT, I reached an impasse with the dealer. He refused to go another penny and so did I. I felt like my offer was fair so I thanked him and walked out the door. I was getting in my car, when he ran out and shook my hand.

Offer $19K. Take the deal at $20K bottom line (Just my 2 cents worth).
Great advice.
Once I arrange for a Lexus check up, even if all checks out, $20 will be the absolute most i'll pay (out the door). I do like the car very much, but as you stated, im not infatuated. And more so, im willing to be patient.
So, I'll kindly take those two cents, thank you Sir!

Bear in mind too if you plan on driving this RWD LS in the snow on allseason tires. They are *very* bad in the snow. Pretty hilariously bad. If you invest in snow tires they become very good in the snow, but I would never drive a RWD LS in the snow on allseasons. Been there, done that.

Sounds like you found one much better than the last one. The scratch in the console wood would bother me...is it a scratch or a crack? I know you can buy that piece, but it's not cheap. If the car has been cared for, 91k miles isn't a big deal. You are approaching the mileage where you need yo consider spark plug changes, coolant change, tranny fluid change, etc. but those are things I like to do to any car I recently purchase anyway.

Its probably a crack. I've seen some 07-09 460's with cracked wood on the console.

Indeed Double, I was thinking that exact same thing.
And to answer your question regarding the wood peice, my apologies for calling it a scratch, as it's actually appears to be a crack. The way it starts and stops is a small curve, as if something was dropped on it or there was pressure on it and it just caused a crack. It does bother me to be honest. I'm thinking it definitely won't get better over time.
Things to think about...

It's actually in the solid peice. I'll try to explain this the best way I can...

It's not the door/lid for the cup holder, but the large peice that is mainly center piece. If you sitting I the drivers seat and you look down, the crack starts near the Power/Snow button and kind of forms a single line crack to where that space is between the solid wood peice and the cup holder cover starts. Kind of in between that area and there the chrome plate is for the shifter. Sorry for the bad description...you follow me at all?

Really? Not thinking that's a good thing, and not a cheap/easy fix. I'm not even sure as to how it would age...probably not well.

If you really like the car other than the crack, do some research on what it takes to replace that part. Find out the cost and then deduct it from the asking price. Otherwise, I'd say move on.

Thanks gentlemen.
In all honesty, the crack bothers me and today I'll look into a repair cost. That and the mileage is a bit high, but it is and L. Lastly, after discussing this car with a trusted member, the Lexus records cease after Oct. 2012, and that bothers me a bit as well. It'd just sit better with me if I could see at least within the last few months of maint. history, but I cant. Even with a Lexus inspection...
More than likely, I'll be passing on this one as well, unless they drop it to below $20k. At that point, I'd feel as if I'd be doing myself an injustice by not purchasing the vehicle.

I think you need to adjust your expectations a little given the age and mileage you're looking at. Just because the Lexus service history ends after Oct 2012 doesn't mean it hasn't been serviced, it just means it wasn't serviced at Lexus. Lots of people stop servicing their cars at Lexus because of cost, especially as they get older. Have you pulled a Carfax? Its possible maintenance records are available there from whoever did service it.

As for the crack, thats a superficial thing that can be replaced. New the part would cost a fortune, but they can be found in wrecking yards and such too.

If the car looks well cared for, drives like it is well cared for...it probably was well cared for...if you like the car and the color combo and the price is good, which it seems to be, I wouldn't write it off for those two issues.
