How much do you pay for insurance?
£390/year here. Plus I got £70 cash back. I went for the huge deductible, like £1000, otherwise it would have been closer to £500.
Age: 32. Location: low crime area in SE England.
I also get stuck for £500/ year gas guzzler tax, plus the actual gas costs like $7.35/gallon (equivalent).

I think I'm paying somewhere around 450 in New Hampshire. Gas is 3.29 a gallon for super right now, 3.09 for mid grade and 2.89 for regular.

Insurance is about $700/year with a $1,000 deductible in Houston TX.
This policy has multiple (7) vehicles on it, plus we carry my homeowners insurance and structure insurance (no contents) for a rental property we own with the same carrier. That creates a lot of discounts on the policy so the actual rate is quite a bit less than it would be for a vehicle-only policy.
Gasoline was $3.45 for super when I filled up before election day - probably will be higher when I fill up tomorrow... figure $2.85 for regular and 3.05 for midgrade.

Three cars and two houses. And the 450 is for the year (it might be 500, Ill have to check). New Hampshire is much cheaper than MA, I moved up here 7 years ago and was blown away by the insurance rates. The thing everyone complains about is the property tax (I pay 7500 a year for one house), but MA is catching up in that department too.

You really cannot compare insurance rates among other states and also in your home state. It depends on what liability limits you carry, multi-car discounts, homeowners tied into your policy, the value of your home, cars, etc. The deductibles you carry on all of these can change the rate. Another example is my company has a flat zero deductible on comprehensive and gives the same coverage as AAA for your automobiles for an additional $3.60 per year. The daily commute mileage and annual mileage and whether you are working or retired, and if your car is routinely garaged at your principal residence.

I pay $1800/year, but i'm just about 23 so the magical 25 year old mark is almost here where historically rates drop quite a bit. Never been in any accidents, live in a good neighborhood, but i have had 2 or 3 speeding tickets in the last 3 years...

Also in Mass. there are surcharges if you have traffic violations or at fault accidents.
Trying to compare auto insurance policies makes comparing apples and oranges look simple!

I have an 07 ls 460 with about 2 points in California driving about 15k miles
I'm paying about 140 a month for full coverage
my gas mile is like 18-20 mpg with 22"

I pay $2k a year for my 03 ls430 --- I always get the feeling im being ripped off
My first car was a Honda and I was paying $500 per year, it started going up drastically every year until it almost tripled, the government put a stop the the wild insurance rates , its came down a bit but still way higher then it should be.
Ive had zero accidents or any claims since I started driving.

In BC I pay about 1400 per car and /or motorcycle with the maximum safe driver discount, a blanket umbrella liability policy and I carry reasonably high deductibles.
