Default Aux input

I recently purchased a 2009 CPO LS460 from my Lexus dealer and cannot get the Aux input in the center console to come up. When I plug my Ipod in, and I push the Disc/Aux button on the ML stereo, all I get is either the CD player or the HDD drive but the Ipod will not show up. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? Could the Aux jack be bad? I have tried several different cords and inputs (ipod, phone music, etc)

if you hit the Disc/Aux button twice? CD is a separate button, so it should not come up...

Sorry waynedog, my first reply was incorrect about "cd" being a different button. is the auxiliary cord plugged in when you try to hit that button?

i've attached a picture from just a few minutes ago when i tested this myself. your 2009 should be the same as my 2007.

This brings me to a question about that aux button in the console. When I plugged in my ipod and hit the aux button, it played fine. But it doesn't show names or titles. Is it supposed to or not?

No it will not show anything except, "AUX". Song titles, etc are not supported for our MY vehicles. That's why I bought a Vaistech ivic-D.

The aux cable with headphone jacks on each end only passes L/R audio to the head unit. You need a USB or iPod plug in the car (2010 on) to pass data signals (song, artist, etc) to the head unit.

I had a similar problem on my 2011, I took it in to the dealership and the USB port had been damaged (likely by the prior owner. Repaired under warranty

I realize that there may be differences between the 10 and 11 model setup but checking the connectivity of the usb plug is basic trouble shooting, that I neglected to do on my own.

This happened to me when we pulled the radio out to put in the bypass. We forgot to plug in the aux cable behind the radio. It's a small blue plug I think. Easily missed. Once I plugged it back in the aux worked again.

Did you ever come to a solution? It appears @JayNunu hijacked the thread with his DIY install.

Amen. When it first happened to me I became totally disoriented. I had no idea how I had hopped over to another model car thread. I personally do NOT like it.

Default It's the Aux jack that needs replacement; if you push down on the aux wire near

Aux needs replacement. If you push down on the aux wire near the jack and then double click the disc button, it should take you there; it should say aux on the screen.
