Is LS600h more quiet than LS460 L?

I have a 460 L with the air suspension. I had a chance to test drive the 600h L and personally I thought it was noticeable much quieter and smoother.

I think the one thing that makes it smoother is that transmission. The other thing may be the weight of the batteries giving it a more planted feel on the road. Just my opinion.
I am not sure how true this statement is but the Service Advisor at Lexus told me the other day that the tires on the LS600 seem to wear quicker due to the extra weight of the batteries.

I've owned both and do think the 600 rides quieter and smoother than a similar 460. It's probably a combination of the added weight, hybrid assist, and continuously variable transmission... I love my 600!

I believe most people that own a LS, regardless of engine, love their LS.
But yes the LS600 is quieter than the 460 from the test drive I have done in comparison.

Yes I feel my 600 is quieter than my 460 was. Remember the L models have lamisafe (double pane) windows on front and rear doors as opposed to swb models who only have lamisafe on front doors (wind noise fix) and temperlite single pane on back doors. I don't think the sound difference is overly noticeable except at lower speeds or sitting in traffic when gas engine shuts off and runs on hybrid battery. I'm on the fence about another 600 next time around. I'm focused on an fully loaded 13 or 14 F Sport when I sell my 600

Honestly, I don't need the additional rear legroom like I thought I would. My kid is only 18 mos old these days and I only bought a 600 because it was a guaranteed way for me to get all options without digging for that perfect LS460L like Tee got in his. He has nearly every option I do except for rear TV, and other 600 unique items like the headliner, some add'l woodgrain piece parts, LED headlights, CVT Transmission and hybrid drive.
And since I paid essentially a couple grand more for my 600 than a similarly equipped 460L, it was a no brainer. Now, if I come up on a solid deal again like I did when I bought mine, then I'll consider it. But the F Sport has the air suspension and I can transfer my data systems controller over. My 22 VFS2 wheels will bolt right up and I like the look of the F Sport. And the F Sport can be equipped with the Advanced PCS with Radar Cruise and all the other features I love in my 600hL.
I don't have any concerns about the reliability of the 600, mainly because I have a CPO warranty through 2017 on a 2008 model. But, ANY LS460, L or 600hL will get mighty expensive outside of warranty should a major component fail.
