Right in time for the December to remember promotions where sales are at an all time low.
I think Lexus will come out ahead when it's all said and done.

Alldatadiy calls for removal of the intake manifold to get to the offending (high pressure) fuel pressure sensor. It is screwed into the left HP fuel rail. Intake removal alone calls for 3.2 hrs standard labor, 2.0 hrs warranty time. I have my doubts about Lexus dealer techs being enthusiastic about doing R&R's of these intakes for 2.0 hours.

Yes, that is my understanding too. Not a quick and simple job

Default VIN Range: 75000112 – A5100296

The documents are pretty interesting (the Root Cause analysis process is cool) - and indeed my car was made after they fixed the issue so I am good to go (I added the VIN range above so you can figure out if your car is in the affected range).

Just set up an appointment for this "inspection" on Friday, and they did tell me that i could put it off as the parts are NOT in, and are still waiting for them.

I told them i would still like the inspection to see if i even need to come back in because there is a chance they find nothing wrong and i won't need to be back...

I am in the zone. When I took the car to Lexus of Tulsa for the Nav update the service rep told me that there was this recall and they would let me know when to bring it over for the fix.

I got the recall postcard on the fuel thing- it sounded like they didn't have a solution yet but if I smelled gas to get it in! Since i've had problems since my cylinder valve recall I'll wait until some of you knowledgeable guys sorts it out. You raise great points & I don't want more going wrong if they don't rep,ace everything they are having to take apart. Please update when you have more info. Thanks!
