continental dws concern
so yesterday i moved my car after sitting for about 5 days and did mostly highway driving for the majority of the day, i went into a store for about an hour and when i came out and started the car the tire pressure warning came up, so all of the tires were saying they were in the 20's when they should be at 33, i came out looked at them and they seemed fine even though it was dark. the lowest tire was the right rear according the the tmps. i came home parked the car and decided to buy a pressure gauge myself to see if the monitor was accurate and it was.....which is what puzzles me.....the car sat for 5 days and yesterday was a bit colder in nyc but the dunlops which were on there b4....never had such a problem, and its sat outside in jan and feb for 3 weeks and came back to the tires fine....also a ton of ppl have told me my tire looks low but the pressure is where its supposed to be, it looks as if the sidewall can't support the weight of the car, also a problem i never had with the dunlops....i wonder if anybody has experienced something similar....and for those that r in the market thats something to consider

All about cold. Run them up to 33psi cold (check with good gauge, NOT TPMS sensors!) and you'll be fine. Lower them in warm weather, pump them up a bit in cold. Nature of the beast. Note that lots of folks swear that nitrogen-filled tires exhibit substantially less pressure variation with temperature swings. You might try it.
