Default Remote start

Greetings all. Need to get a remote start for my 07 LS460L. I wanted to go with the Lexus RES but the dealer is saying it only works in 2012 and up. Which system are you guys using? Best buy said they could the viper 4000 but I need additional remotes that cost $289 each! Any suggestions? Thanks

I had Best Buy install the D-Ball - $200 installed. It uses your lexus key fog to start the car. Turns off when you open the door. There is a option to use it with a Smart Phone App for more $.

Link to D-Ball

Not anymore. As of Oct 1, DBALL no longer supports OEM FOB remote start.

since your install was done last yr u may not know.. but the dball/2 has been downgraded to a simple bypass module..the 3x lock start has been deleted from the options list on the dball line..the 3x lock start option is only available on the 4210 or 5210 all in one units. This change took effect on Oct 1st 14'.. only modules flashed prior to this date will still have 3x start func....

So now you guys can buy the idatalink ads-al-ca for a 3x lock start. But its not directly a plug an play match for Smart Start. ..

Forgot to mention I now live in Alaska, Anchorage to be exact, and most sellers, especially those on Ebay, don't deliver to Alaska. There are a few shops here but I wanted to see what everyone here was using i.e. compusar, viper etc. so I can give the shop more specifics

I gotta figure out something. I got the summer to get it done. I'm amazed at how incompetent these shops are. They see Lexus and get scared and reach for the most expensive thing on the shelf.
$2500..

Just got my package from Toby Broadfield and I'm so excited. So I figured I'd get best buy to install it but as usual I was disappointed....I don't even know why I bother with those guys, they are worthless. This kid, can't be more than 18, swears on everything that what I got from Broadfield cannot be installed on my LS460. Are there instructions on DIY installation anywhere? I'll do it myself!
