The 3m protection is not a spray on. You need to goggle this. This protection came about thru military protecting aircraft. I have tested the protected shield that is used. It looks like clear plastic only stronger. I am having my entire front of my car wrap in it. Cost is about $1600.00. Do your due diligence and research it.

3M, as I understand it, was indeed the first player in this space. Nowadays, some would argue that Xpel film is superior. Having said this, the OP was asking about a spray, and 3M happens to have released such a product not long ago, which dries into a removable clear film.
