Looking to spend mid 20's for a LS460(L) model, what will that get me?

I paid 22k for my 2007 LS 460 the day after Christmas last year. I purchased it from a guy who owns a Lexus repair facility, it was his car...it had 72k miles on it.

Hi there. I was gonna start a new thread about my purchase, but this seems like a good thread. I traded my 2005 LS430 and cash yesterday for a 2008 LS460, black on black with 52,000 miles. The total deal was slightly more than your $25K budget. It has pretty much all features with the exception of the ML sound. The dealership did all the work on the car including brakes and rotors as well as rotate and align, two new tires, oil change etc. I even watched a movie this morning as a test of the DVD player on the nav screen. It plays MP3's and has the input for mp3 player in the console box. Shows a hard disk player, but I heard that only works for ML systems. I just activated my 3 month free trial of XM or Sirius or whatever they call it these days.
While I wish I had the ML sound, I'm actually quite pleased with the way I have it adjusted for my ears. But you know what I'm most disappointed in? They took out my favorite hidden storage compartment below my seat. Man I sure miss that!
Otherwise, I am loving my car!

I think you'll find a bunch of clean, one owners to choose from .... I'd favor those cars since they were purchased by (probably) wealthy individuals new and more than likely cared for them rather well. Not to say second and third owners won't care for their cars well, but I think the odds are less likely versus the original owner. Good luck!

Lexus did not carry over the seat compartments on the 460. I liked that feature and I also liked the coin tray on the 430 than on the 460, it had better coin organization layout.

As mentioned, the coin change compartment in the 430 was a better design. There was a section designed to hold coins upright. Perfect for grabbing change when passing a drive through window. The other nice compartment was on the console dash. It pushed open with a touch and held things like my ipod or some various cards.
None of these are deal breakers for the incredible luxury of the LS460. I'll keep the phone in my pocket and learn to live with a bluetooth drained phone!

Just picked up a 2009 LS460L AWD in excellent condition for $24k with 100k on the clock....I THINK I did OK considering I was willing to pay a premium for AWD

Just bought 08 silv/blk with absolute prestine condition with 81k miles for $24884 last night in SF area dealer. it was a trade-in with one owner. I have been in search for about a month and went through about ten LSs or so. It has ML and rear seat upgrades with recline\heated seats. In my opinion, patience is the key to find what you want.
