Yes and their immediate family members. We have a lot of veterans on our forum. Over the years they have loosened the restrictions on membership. To determine eligibility go to USAA.com

I paid $3000 for Lexus extended.. No deductible 3 years 36k miles.
Got the car at 72k a month ago.
Warranty already paid $6000 for full control arm swap. So I'm glad I got it. Then again thanks to this forum I knew that control arms might be an issue sooner or later so the warranty was a no brainer.

Planning to keep the car for 3 years and get a 2013 after that.

I bought where I bought my LS .
Lexus of Warwick RI.

I'm not sure if it's a good deal or not. I spent no time researching this. Just thought it would be useful to have the warranty of control arms need work.
Month later it paid off .

So I can not complain

Unfortunately my Lexus LS 460 has too many miles for a Lexus warranty. 94k. So I am looking at either
Warranty Direct or Carchex. Have anyone here every used either of these companies? What was your experience? Quoted. WD. 37 months/ 37000 miles. $3224
Carchex quoted 3/36000 miles. $2704

Need help in choosing. Thanks

Ditto (price and mileage) so I don't think you got a horrible deal.

jarm: I think you can still get a Lexus warranty at 94k. Check out this link:

Is that Carchex no deductible?

JARM - call them tomorrow let me know what they say - your car meets the "9 years or newer, under 125k miles"...the only thing is you didn't buy the car from them and that may have been a stipulation for them to sell the warranty coverage to you....as many here would agree, a Lexus-backed VSA would be the very best option (I thought only available if your Lexus is within 4 years 50,000 miles factory warranty)...

I called Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood and talked to Debbie King. She offered me 3/36 Lexus Platinum warranty $0 deductible for $ 4155. If anyone else knows of another Lexus Dealer to shop from please let me know. This may seam expensive but I have got to get the control arms and catalytic converter addressed.

That's a bit steep. Try Kuni Lexus, or some other Lexus dealers in your state. Also, do NOT say anything about the control arms or cat - pre-existing conditions are not covered!

Is this something new in the last 3 or 4 years, because in december 2010 I bought an extended warranty from Jerry on my new 2010 ES 350 and I live in Virginia?

I didn't know Lexus would even cover a vehicle not purchased at their dealership..plus the 36/36,000 mile coverage from Lexus would be more comprehensive than any 3rd party coverage available.

JARM you may want to see if that $4100 is taken out in one lump sum (I assume it is) vs monthly payments that Carchex/WarrantyDirect offers...
