Bill, you need to update your profile. I didn't know WA stood for Watertown!

Just bought an 8y/125k Platinum VSA from Toby Rivers at Lexus of Shreveport. Should be covered through 2019 or for another 92k miles. Great guy to deal with and he's able to sell to out-of-state buyers. Price-wise he's pretty much on par with Troy Dietrich but Troy couldn't sell out-of-state.

extended warranty purchase
I just bought a Certified ES 350 and I am looking for the best price for a 6 year 100K extended Lexus Platinum warranty. It is a 2014 with 10K miles on it.

For those of you who are fellow USAA members, they offer zero deductible extended warranties now. I just did an online quote for a 2011 LS460L with 45k miles just for an example.
For a 4 year/100k extended warranty the price was $3464 or 12 payments of $288. 4 years from YOUR purchase date by the way. Not cheap on paper but if you get an LS through an auction, broker or another low cost source..you may still end up with a good deal that gives you some coverage past warranty. This is the only plan available for the LS through USAA.
USAA offers other options, especially for domestic cars. Our new at the time 2013 Durango had a wrap option to match factory powertrain which was 5yr/100K. So the USAA wrap bumps our 3/36 Dodge bumper to bumper coverage to 5yr/100K also since Dodge is covering up to 3/36 and 5/100 on power train and USAA covers the gaps. Only cost about $850 for that wrap! So log in and play around with the quotes. The mileage has to be less than factory warranty which is 50k on the LS. Just another option if other VSA options don't work out for you
