Default getting a 2nd LS460

just sharing some recent experience on selecting cars.

been driving a LS460 2009 for a while. comfortable, reasonably fast, most importantly the repair & maintenance bill is low (<$600 per year, not including the tires $1500 per set).

was thinking getting a GL, but my current GL450 costed me $5000 of repair during past 6 months, so we decided only to keep one GL. btw, the GL is quieter, smooth, powerful and has more space & usage.

then looked at S550. tested a few of them, they feel stiff, solid, heavier, acceleration is maybe a bit faster. but was not too impressed with S550. maybe got too used to the refined soft interior of LS460. The experience of dealing with MB dealer (mainly repair bills) also pulled me away from them.

so in the end we are picking another LS460. just like the peace of mind worry-free dependable, and ride comfort, and reasonable performance.

Nice.

Sounds like that GL is costing you quite a bit. How old is it? and mileage? What was broken that cost 5K?

2007 GL,
to be fair it has been trouble free until this year.
but it only has 51 k miles till now.
3 air suspensions leaked at ~49k miles costing 3k repair
transmission speed sensor failed causing it unable to accelerate, ~2k repair,
