Check tire pressure system two weeks after battery disconnected
OK i know everyone is going to say this is a topic that has been touched on before,buttttt I installed an amp and a sub-woofer into my LS460 (wasn't satisfied with the sound obviously). In the process I disconnected the battery from the car for quite some time. About 2 weeks after installation my check tire pressure system light goes off, and i find out about the set button and i hit it liked described online and inside the manual but the same message comes back. I read something about i was supposed to hit the button under the dash once i finally plugged the battery back up (which i did not do), So any suggestions? worse case scenario i have techstream and ill just have to wait for the cable to arrive from hong kong so i can hook it up and diagnose it myself

Receieved my diagnostic cable today and and this is what came up (well it wont let me post the picture) but the codes c2124,c2125 & c2177. I cleared them and none of the codes came back but i did realize that the 4th tire (not sure which one it is specifically on the car) is not reporting its tire pressure, it just says Checking. So it must be that sensor.

Yes, it could be a dead battery. What year is your car?

Well turns out the battery went dead in one of the sensors,couldn't program the new sensor using techstream some error kept popping up, found a new sensor online for $30.00 and ordered that and ateq vt30 & quickset at about $347.00. The vt30 helps you identify the sensor I.d. and the quickset programs it to your car .I figured that's more than worth it, the dealership wanted $100 per sensor and wanted to charge $200(claiming just programming the sensor was a hour and a half of labor). In my eyes you damn near pay for the ateq stuff in just one trip to the dealership. Needless to say no more annoying dash lights

I did an extensive write up on ATEQ ib a previous post...if I had to do it all over again, I should of purchased cloneable sensors to match my winter set..that way I can swap and no need to reprogram tpms...the ateq tool is nice though. It saves money but most tire shops can do it for a very small fee. Usually $25 or less based on my experience
