Today I got into my car, started it and tried to use my wipers but they did not respond to any of the stalk positions. The washer did work however. I turned the engine off, re-started it and they worked fine in all positions.

Anyone else ever have this issue?

Change the battery, oh wait, you did that.

Just a swag, but the car goes through several checks on start up. Maybe if you used the wipers before the checks were complete the system went into some kind of fail safe.

That is weird, but I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again.
